On 11 August 2026, at around 09:30am Sanaa time, Houthi forces targeted the Tihamah deck cargo ship (IMO: 1031329) with a ballistic missile in the South Red Sea 5 nm from the Coast of Al Mukha (Al Mukha, Taizz), claiming the ship was a Saudi military-supply vessel transporting military equipment. Non-Houthi sources confirmed the attack, stating that the vessel was a civilian commercial vessel. The attack resulted in a fire onboard the vessel and in the killing of 4 crew members (3 Pakistanis and 1 Indonesian), and the injury of 7 crew members. 4 fatalities.
