On 10 August 2026, in Hpa Yar Gyi village (Shwegyin township, Bago district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike using two 500-lb bombs at around 4:30 pm. The airstrike killed 3 women including a child, and injured 8 people. The airstrike also injured one cow, and destroyed three houses, one granary, two motorcycles, and a shop. 3 fatalities.
