On 10 August 2026, in Taung Bo village (Salin township, Minbu district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with a K-8W jet fighter at around 1:00 pm without an armed clash occurring. Democratic Voice of Burma reported that the airstrike killed 2 local women aged around the age of 50, injured 5 other civilians, killed five cattle, and destroyed six houses. Khit Thit Media reported that the airstrike killed 3 people, injured 14 people, killed two cows and destroyed 3 houses. Fatalities coded as 2 using the lowest estimate.
