On 11 August 2026, in Loikaw township (Loikaw district, Kayah state), the Myanmar military conducted three drone strikes on an IDP camp in eastern Loikaw township using Kamikaze drones at around 2 pm. The military also fired around two to three artillery rounds. 2 IDPs (a man and a woman) were killed, and 3 others, including two students, sustained injuries. 2 fatalities.
