On 12 August 2026, in Kaing Khon village (Gwa township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike using a jet fighter that flew in twice and dropped four bombs at around 9:00 pm. The airstrike destroyed 7 houses. There were no casualties.
