Satellite shows 1/5 of Wildberries warehouse in Bashkortostan burned down, but there could be more – photo.

A Ukrainian attack sparked a fire at a warehouse belonging to the Russian marketplace Wildberries in Bashkortostan, according to satellite images published by the Russian service of the U.S.-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

The image, taken at 1:00 p.m., shows that nearly 30,000 square meters of the warehouse, one-fifth of the facility, were destroyed.

However, drone strike marks are also visible on the roof in other sections of the building, meaning the internal damage may be more extensive, the journalists suggested.

According to Russian sources, the total area of the facility in the settlement of Chishmy, Bashkortostan, is 186,000 square meters. It consists of two buildings measuring 123,300 and 63,500 square meters.

This is already the 21st logistics center in Russia damaged or destroyed by Ukrainian attacks since July 18.

Against the backdrop of successful Ukrainian attacks on these and other facilities, Russia has intensified strikes on civilian cities, as well as ports and businesses. Attacks on warehouses and logistics hubs may, in particular, lead to higher prices for basic food products and services.
