On 4 August 2026, at around 10:30am Sanaa time, suspected Houthi forces targeted the MSV Faize Noore Oliya cargo ship (MMSI: 419956572) with a WBIED in the South Red Sea 9 nm southwest of Al Mukha (coded to Coast of Al Mukha) (Taizz). The attack caused a fire onboard and resulted in the sinking of the ship. The 14 crew members, including 13 Indian crew member, were rescued by local authorities and taken to the port of Al Mukha. There were no fatalities or injuries. The Houthis did not claim the attack.
