On 3 August 2026, suspected Malay Muslim separatists threw a small improvised explosive device (a ping-pong bomb) into the grounds of Thep Nimit Temple in Moo 5 village, Ban Klang, Panare (Pattani). The device exploded near a restroom, creating a small crater but causing no casualties or property damage.
