On 7 August 2026, in Kan Hpyu village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped bombs with a J-Fighter jet that came from Tada-U airbase around 12 am, which fell and exploded at the A Bi Da Mar (Irrawaddy) school building. 2 school buildings and three houses were damaged and 13 cows were killed. There were no casualties as locals had already fled.
