On 4 August 2026, in Daw Ku Lel village (Hpruso township, Hpruso district, Kayah state), the Myanmar military conducted a drone airstrike and dropped bombs at around 6:30 pm. The drone strike killed 3 civilians at the scene-including a 6-month-old infant, a woman in her 40s, and a man over 60-and injured 5 others. 2 of the injured later died from their injuries. 5 fatalities.
