On 1 August 2026, a remotely detonated improvised explosive device exploded at the Balzi Rossi restaurant on Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow (coded to Moscow - Central, Tsentralnyy, Moscow), killing 5 civilians (including the delivery worker) and injuring 21 at a private party, in a suspected assassination attempt targeting the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Alexander Chaiko.
