On 2 August 2026, TTP militants carried out a suicide bombing at the entrance of Kabal Police Station in Kabal town (Swat, KPK), after police personnel attempted to stop and search the suicide bomber. The explosion occurred while hundreds of people were participating in a PTM protest near Kabal Chowk in kabal town, against the recent wave of militancy in Swat (coded separately). TTP claim both the PTM gathering and police personnel were targeted. Seven police personnel and ten civilians were killed, while 27 others, including 18 police personnel and nine civilians, were injured. Total 18 fatalities including the suicide bomber and 23 injuries.
