On 5 August 2026, Israeli troops entered a booby-trapped building that exploded in Majdel Zoun town (Tyr, South), killing two reservist soldiers and injuring four others. The booby trap is believed to be set-up by Hezbollah. The slain soldiers are part of the 55th Paratroopers Brigade's 2855th Battalion.
