8th August 2026
In northern Ye Township, Mon State, clashes broke out between revolutionary forces and the junta's Infantry Battalion (106) based in Maw Kanin Village, resulting in the deaths of 2 comrades, according to the Ramonnya Mon Army (RMA).
Yesterday, August 8, a terrorist military column advanced toward the old Aung Tha Pyay Village, leading to a contact battle with joint revolutionary allied forces around 11:30 AM.
The joint allied forces—comprising Ramonnya Mon Army (RMA) Battalion 901, the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), and Strategy 33 Battalion 8001 (YGF)—initiated the attack to gain the upper hand.
During the battle, the military retaliated with heavy and light weapons, resulting in the noble sacrifice of Comrade Kyaw Swar Win (aka J Gyi) and Comrade Thaw Zin (aka Ayeyar) from RMA Battalion 901, who gave their lives for the country and the people.
Although there were casualties on the military's side during the clash, investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact numbers.
