In Yebyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, an ambush on a junta military column advancing toward local villages resulted in 2 soldiers killed and 3 injured, an official from the Ye Taung Htoo (Ye Demon) Battalion told Khit Thit Media.

On August 8 around 6:30 AM, revolutionary forces ambushed a junta military column advancing from Kywe Ta Lin village toward Ya Phu village in Yebyu Township.

During the battle, 2 junta members were killed and 3 were injured. The attack was jointly carried out by the Ye Demon Battalion and KNLA Battalion 27, and the revolutionary fighters were able to retreat without casualties.
