In Rakhine State, Ann Township, the terrorist military launched a nighttime bomb attack using a jet fighter on civilian residential areas in Talai Taung Village, killing 2 civilians and injuring 3 others, according to a news release by the Arakha Army (AA) News and Information Department.
At 9:30 PM on August 8, the terrorist junta's air force dropped 2 bombs on Talai Taung Village.
The bomb strike hit near the residence and car repair workshop belonging to Ko Aung Paing's family, completely destroying the home and workshop buildings.
As a result of the bomb blast, Ko Aung Paing's 67-year-old mother, Daw Ma Lay Lay, and 23-year-old workshop worker Maung Maung Nyan inside the home were hit by shrapnel and died instantly at the scene.
Additionally, Ko Aung Paing's wife, daughter, and workshop worker Maung Tun Tun Win sustained various injuries, while 5 motor vehicles parked inside the workshop for repairs were also damaged.
