A Military Council jet fighter bombed an IDP camp in western Demoso Township, Karenni State, in the absence of active fighting, killing one displaced civilian, injuring another, and destroying a school where displaced children study, according to the Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC).

Around 6:00 PM on August 6, the Military Council launched an air strike on the IDP camp in western Demoso Township, killing a displaced man over 50 years old and injuring a woman over 70 years old.

Additionally, the bombing damaged a school located inside the IDP camp.
