In Myaing Tharyar Village, Kyauk Twin Village Tract, Tharrawaddy Township, Bago Region, joint revolutionary forces attempted to arrest military informant and hundred-house head Kyaw Aung and Pyu Saw Htee member Myint Kyaing. Both men were shot and killed when they resisted and attempted to flee, according to the Tharrawaddy Galon People's Defense Force.

On August 4 at around 3:30 AM, a combined force comprising Company (1) of Tharrawaddy District Battalion 3802 under Strategy (22) of Bago Region Military Headquarters, Southern Region Command, People's Defense Force (PDF), alongside Tharrawaddy District PDF (Shwe Tan Myay) and Tharrawaddy Galon PDF, launched a surprise raid to capture the two individuals.

During the operation, Kyaw Aung and Myint Kyaing refused to surrender, resisted, and tried to escape. Revolutionary forces pursued and opened fire, resulting in both men dying at the scene.
