In Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region, the terrorist military launched airstrikes and heavy artillery attacks, killing one civilian, injuring four others including children, and destroying three houses, KNU Central announced.

On August 2, the terrorist military used a fighter jet to drop a 500-pound bomb on Lelmuthaw Village in Kyaukkyi Township.

The bombing injured four local residents and displaced persons: Naw Aye May Chaw (18), Saw Thei Lay (32), and Saw El Tar Khut (8) and Naw Mu Gay Paw (13), who were taking refuge there as IDPs from Bhuragyi Village.

Additionally, three houses belonging to villagers Saw Thein Win, Saw Lin Paw, and Maung Hla Gyi were damaged in the air strike.
