SAA event in Mexico on Mon 13th July 2026

An armed attack in the Tepito neighborhood , located in the Morelos district of the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, resulted in the execution of Lizeth Yuridia Juárez, " La Chofis ", identified by the capital authorities as one of the historical operators and key pieces in the drug dealing structure of the criminal organization La Unión Tepito.

The events took place in the parking lot located at the intersection of Matamoros and Peralvillo streets , where the woman was intercepted by hitmen who shot at her and then fled. According to intelligence files from the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City, "La Chofis" consolidated herself for years as the right-hand man and most trusted person of Óscar Andrés Flores , " El Lunares ", who was one of the main leaders of said criminal faction.
