Two junta soldiers were killed and a firearm was seized when revolutionary forces launched a surprise attack on plainclothes junta troops who were robbing civilians of money and property in Lonkhin Village, Hpakant Township, Kachin State, a local military source told Khit Thit Media.

On August 1, at around 9:30 AM, revolutionary forces unexpectedly opened fire on drug-intoxicated junta troops who were mugging and robbing passing civilians near the Htun Tauk fuel station in Lonkhin Village.

Two junta soldiers were killed in the operation, and one firearm was confiscated from them. The revolutionary forces successfully withdrew without casualties.
