Tourist killed in airstrike in Kani

A tourist has lost his life after a terrorist military jet bombed Yagyi village in Kani Township, Sagaing Region, according to sources on the ground. Yesterday (August 1), a Tada U Air Force fighter jet bombed Yagyi village on the Monywa-Yagyi-Kalaywa road without any fighting. A local said, "I was riding a JF (1) bus on the bridge. It was coming back from Gangtok and crashed. A tourist died."

Ko Pao Thi (about 40 years old), a resident of Sai Te village, was killed in this airstrike. Similarly, some public houses were also damaged by fire, according to local sources. The terrorist army has announced that it has taken control of the Monywa-Yagyi-Kaleywa road and the Tamu-Kaley road. According to a statement from the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, 5,709 human rights violations were committed in the Sagaing Region Federal Unitary Region during the period of the coup d'état leader Min Aung Hlaing's leadership. These violations included targeted killings of civilians, aerial and drone bombings, and the burning of civilian homes. A total of 2,202 innocent people, including 315 children under the age of 18 and 252 grandparents over the age of 60, were killed by the coup-taking military.
