A PDF comrade was killed and 13 civilians were injured when the military council bombed Monywa and Wetlet townships in Sagaing Region, where the revolutionary forces were strong.

The Monywa PKK announced that at around 6 pm on August 1, the military attacked Thit Nyo Pin village in Monywa Township with a jet and dropped two 500-pound bombs. The bombing reportedly injured 12 civilians, including 5 children, and destroyed 1 house and 1 monastery building.

Additionally, on July 31, a jet plane dropped bombs on the village of Phanpat Chaung in Wetlet Township, killing a PDF soldier and injuring a civilian, a source on the ground told Shwe Phi Myay. "A soldier was killed and a civilian was injured. There is a military base in Thitsem village near Hpathchaung village. That's why the villagers are asked to be careful. It's a situation where both sides are at war."

In Sagaing Region, where the revolution is strong, the military is continuously conducting ground offensives and air strikes on areas they have relinquished. Although military leader Min Aung Hlaing has invited ethnic armed groups to hold peace talks, he has only told the Spring Revolution forces to surrender and enter the light.
