A local woman died in Hakha Township, Chin State, due to random shooting by junta forces despite the absence of any active fighting, the Chin National Defense Force-Hakha (CDF-Hakha) told Mizzima.

Around midnight on August 1, junta troops opened fire randomly near the View Point in Hakha Township, striking and killing a 52-year-old woman inside a nearby home, according to CDF-Hakha.
