On 31 July 2026, at around 5:00 p.m., Russian forces carried out a drone strike and hit the gas station in the bordering Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernihiv. A civilian car caught fire. In separate events, Russian Molniya and FPV drones struck unspecified targets in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, damaging a greenhouse an outbuilding, a private house and a car. Also, Russian forces struck (coded as air/drone) energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district. As a result, about 8,000 subscribers in the Novgorod-Siverskyi and 3,000 subscribers in the neighboring Nizhynskyi dostrict were left without electricity. Casualties unknown.
