On 10 August 2021, an IED by Al Shabaab militants detonated, targeting a civilian passenger vehicle transporting khat/mira travelling from Camaara and Kala-beyr villages, near Baad Weyne village (Hobyo, Mudug). At least 9 people were killed and two others were injured.
