On 12 August 2021, a rocket attack was carried out by an unidentified armed group targeting Turkish Army's Bashiqa/Zlikan military base in Kudud village in Bashiqa sub-district of Ninewa. Total 4 rockets fired in the attack did not hit the base and landed in the vicinity of Jibran village nearby. No casualties occurred in the attack.
