On 25 July 2026, in Lay Lan Myaung village (Yedashe township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped two 250 lbs bombs and opened fire with a machine gun from a K8-W plane without an armed clash occurring around 11:30 am. 8 civilians including two children (a 52-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman, a 13-year-old boy, an 8-year-old girl, a 38-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy) were killed and a temple was damaged. 8 fatalities.
