On 26 July 2026, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on a car in Al Birkeh area south of Deir el Balah, coded to Wadi as Salqa (Deir El Balah, Gaza Strip) killing 2 Hamas members from the interior security apparatus (one of them Head of Internal Security of Central Gaza) and injuring 7 other people. This event occurred in a divided area of the Yellow Line, the exact side is unclear.
