On 27 July 2026, Israeli forces, likely drones, targeted Al Hikr south of Deir al Balah coded to Wadi as Salqa (Deir El Balah, Gaza Strip) killing a sniper cell commander in Hamas Nuseirat Battalion and injuring other people. Israeli drones also targeted Al Qararah area in the same location killing a PIJ Platoon Commander who participated in the abductions of 7 October. Total fatalities were 2. This event occurred in a divided area of the Yellow Line, the exact side is unclear.
