On 29 July 2026, US and Saudi warplanes (coded as MFOUS as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) conducted airstrikes targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces base in Ameraly district (coded as Amerli city, Salah Al Din). The strike caused damage to the base as well as a vehicle, civilian home and a husseyniyya. The base had been previously struck in a similar US airstrike. There were no casualties.
