On 29 July 2026, US and Saudi warplanes (coded as MFOUS as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) conducted airstrikes targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces site in Baghdad province (location unknown, coded as Baghdad - Unspecified city, Baghdad). The attack was condemned by the Iraqi government and the Iraqi National Security Council. Saudi Arabia had earlier accused Iraqi pro-Iranian militias of attempting to strike its petroleum facilities with drones. The airstrikes took place in 9 locations (coded as 9 separate events), leaving 20 PMF members dead and 32 PMF members injured, and causing material damage to the sites, vehicles and military equipment. 20 fatalities split over 6 events (3 remaining events left no fatalities).
