Air Delivered event in Iraq on Wed 29th July 2026

On 29 July 2026, US and Saudi warplanes (coded as MFOUS as part of the ongoing US-Iran conflict) conducted seven airstrikes targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces 30th Brigade 4th Battalion (Shabak Militia and Badr Organization) and the Armored Fighting Directorate in Ninewa Plains in Khaznah village (Ninewa), killing 10 soldiers (8 from the 30th Brigade and 2 from the Directorate) and injuring 6 soldiers. The attack was condemned by the Iraqi government and the Iraqi National Security Council. Saudi Arabia had earlier accused Iraqi pro-Iranian militias of attempting to strike its petroleum facilities with drones.
