On 26 July 2026, in the afternoon, a Malian army vehicle struck an IED planted by an armed group (likely JNIM, based on modus operandi and previous militant activity in the area) between Tene and Ouan, coded to Sokoura (Fangasso, Tominian, Segou), a midpoint between the two locations. JNIM claimed responsibility, for the attack, without providing further information. Casualties unknown.
