Russians attack Zaporizhzhia: one killed and 21 injured, high-rises damaged – photos, video

Two people have been killed and 21 injured as a result of two Russian guided aerial bomb strikes on Zaporizhzhia on the afternoon of 2 August. Apartment blocks and a residential area have been damaged.

Quote: "One person has been killed and another is believed to be trapped under the rubble, according to early reports on the aftermath of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia.

A Russian guided aerial bomb struck a residential area in the regional centre. The necessary emergency services are working at the scene."

Details: Fedorov later reported that two people are receiving medical treatment for shock.

At 17:16, he said that one person has been pulled from under the rubble and is being taken to hospital.

Rescue workers later recovered the body of a person from under the rubble.

At 17:53, Fedorov reported that Russian forces have launched yet another strike on Zaporizhzhia. Two people were injured.

Apartment buildings, vehicles and warehouses were damaged as a result of the attack.

As of 18:23, the number of people injured has risen to 11. Two women are in a moderately serious condition.

At 19:56, Fedorov clarified that one person has been killed and 18 others injured as a result of the Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia. Two of those injured are in a serious condition.

Over the course of an hour and a half, Russian forces dropped eight guided aerial bombs on the city, destroying residential and non-residential buildings.

A 71-year-old woman died under the rubble of a residential building. Medical treatment was provided to 18 injured people, including two underage girls. Two people were hospitalised in a serious condition.

The number of people injured later rose to 21.
