The military bombed villages in Phong Pyin Township without any fighting, killing one woman and burning down about 40 houses.

A local revolutionary source told Yangon Times that the terrorist military council troops fired heavy weapons and bombed villages in Phong Pyin Township, Sagaing Region without any fighting, killing one woman and injuring another, and burning down about 40 houses and other buildings.

At approximately 9:52 a.m. on July 26, the military council's warships, which were docked at Thiam Ma Te village in Homalin Township, were descending the Chindwin River when they opened fire with heavy weapons and small arms near Letpantha village. The shooting reportedly left 21-year-old Ko Min Htet, a migrant worker from Letpantha village, with a broken bone and a broken left leg.

About 40 houses, a cattle feed warehouse, and a paddy barn in Tharawong village were destroyed by fire. "The warships fired large amounts of artillery shells, injuring a migrant worker in Letpantha village, and in Tharawong village, about 40 houses, a cattle feed warehouse, and a paddy field were burned down," a local revolutionary source said.

In addition, from approximately 4:11 p.m. to 6:37 p.m. on that day, K-8 fighter jets flying from the Homalin direction bombed a location in southern Phong Pyin Township without any fighting. A total of 15 bombs were dropped, killing one woman. "In the airstrike, K-8 fighter jets dropped 15 bombs," the local rebel source continued. The name, age, and village of the deceased woman are still being investigated and confirmed by local resistance groups.
