6 soldiers killed in attacks on military vehicles, convoys and positions in Ye, Khin Oo and Salin townships

[A]n official from the Daung Nyi Naung guerrilla force told the Yangon Times that a military vehicle traveling from Kan Pyay village in Salin Township, Magway Region to Thit Khao Taung outpost was attacked with landmines, killing five soldiers. On July 25, a military council vehicle traveling from Kanbya Village, Salin Township to Thit Khao Taung Outpost for a patrol was attacked by rebel forces with landmines, killing five soldiers and seriously wounding two. "A military council vehicle carrying about 15 people was on its way from Kanbya village in Salin Township to Thit Khao Taung outpost for patrolling. Five people were killed and two were seriously injured on the military council side. No weapons or ammunition were seized. They attacked with four landmines," said an official from the Daung Nyi Naung guerrilla force. The attack was carried out jointly by the Daung Nyinaung guerrilla force, Minbu District Battalion No. (5), and the SLN LPDF forces, and the revolutionary comrades were able to retreat unharmed.
