On 31 July 2021, unknown militants detonated a roadside explosive device targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces within the Zerga operations sector on the Salah Al Din side of the Kirkuk-Salah Al Din provincial border. IS detonated a second road side explosive targeting an ambulance which responded to the incident. The blast killed 1 and injured 4 PMF fighters. Coded as Zerga, Kirkuk province.
