The Wetlet Informational Network reported today, July 28, that two locals were killed and three others were injured in a bomb attack by the military council in the southern part of Wetlet Township and the northern part of Sagaing Region.

At 10:30 this morning, two bombs were dropped on Paukkan Busta village in the southern part of Wetlet Township and two aircraft were dropped on Samun village in the northern part of Sagaing. The airstrike killed U Myint Than (60 years old) from Shwe Pyi village and Ma Myint Maw (40 years old) from Samun village, who were fleeing the war in Pauk Kan Busta village, and injured three other locals.

In addition, the Wetlet Informational Network reported that nearly 20 local homes were burned down during the airstrike. Yesterday, at 10:30 a.m., two aircraft carried out two airstrikes near the Mangye Kone forest area, west of Kugyi village in the eastern part of Wetlet Township.
