The People's Defense Forces (PDF) announced that the revolutionary forces attacked a military council column that was advancing in Saw Township, Magway Region, capturing 9 prisoners of war and seizing weapons and ammunition.

On July 16, a column of around 300 troops under the Military Council's Division (99) in the Saw Township area of ​​Saw Township encountered fierce fighting with the revolutionary forces as they left Saw Township and retreated towards Longshai. The rebels reportedly attacked the retreating military column and seized military equipment, including weapons and ammunition, and three food trucks.

On July 25, a military council column of around 180 troops launched another offensive into Saw Township, resulting in fighting that is said to be continuing to this day. During the fighting, 9 members of the military council were captured and military equipment including 4 MA-1 rifles, 3 MA-3 rifles, 2 shotguns, and 2 RPGs were seized. This attack was carried out jointly by the district military department and battalion forces under the command of the Magway Regional Military Department. The military has not yet released any information about the fighting in Saw Township.
