On 2 August 2021, 16 Taliban members were killed and 3 others were wounded in airstrikes conducted by the Afghan security personnel in Khulm, Char Kent and Sholgara districts, Balkh. 10 Fatalities were recorded in Sholgara (5) and Char Kent (5) on the same day. The remaining 6 fatalities are coded to Khulm district.
