On 23 July 2026, in Ngapali town (Thandwe township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped 2 bombs near the Pale Yadanar monastery at around 2:00 pm and 2 bombs on Az Family Resort in Lin Thar ward at around 1:30 pm. A hotel and more than 10 civilian houses were destroyed. 7 civilians (a 1-year-old child, a 50-year-old monk, a 53-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman, a 23-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man) were injured.
