On 5 August 2021, in Waingmaw Township (Myitkyina District, Kachin State), the Myanmar military LB 58 fired more than 20 rounds of artillery around three villages. At least six artillery shells fell into the Mading, Tan Bawng and La Bang villages, destroying 6 houses and killing some animals.
