On 21 July 2026, a Su-24 operated by Africa Corps in support of the Malian army conducted four airstrikes in Kidal (Kidal, Kidal, Kidal) and around the city (coded separately). The Malian army claimed to have targeted four JNIM and FLA assembly points and several vehicles equipped with heavy weapons, but other sources stated that one of the strikes targeted a family house and injured one woman. Overall casualties unknown.
