On 24 July 2026, night, U.S army airstrikes targeted the Khorramabad Underground Missile Base of the IRGC Aerospace Force in Khorramabad (Khorramabad, Lorestan). Several explosions were heard by the residents who also reported severe shaking of buildings and windows due to these explosions. Deputy Governor of Lorestan confirmed that an unspecified target was hit by a U.S. strike. The recent U.S. strikes are presumably carried out in retaliation for the recent Iranian military attacks against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Casualties unknown.
