On 24 July 2026, night, U.S forces targeted Tappeh Allah Akbar neighborhood in western Bandar Abbas Ahvaz (Bandar-Abbas, Hormozgan) (coded as air/drone strikes by default). Among the targeted buildings was the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority building. At least 2 people (presumably civilians) were injured in the attack, but fatalities are unknown. The recent U.S. strikes are presumably carried out in retaliation for the recent Iranian military attacks against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
