On 19 July 2026, JNIM claimed that an unspecified number of IEDs they had planted detonated when triggered by a Malian army and Africa Corps convoy on the road between Douentza and Boni, coded to Dallah (Dallah, Douentza, Mopti), a midpoint between the two locations. JNIM stated that the convoy consisted of a military vehicle, an armored vehicle, a truck, motorcycles, and infantry, and it also claimed to have killed an unspecified number of troops and destroyed equipment.
