On 18 July 2026, morning and afternoon, Iranian forces (coded IRGC by default) fired ballistic missiles and drones that directly impacted the oil, electricity, and water sectors in Kuwait, including a power and water desalination plant in Shuaiba (Al Ahmadi), prompting the breakout of a fire in the plant and another fire at an unspecified location, which led to the injury of an unspecified number of firefighters and 1 oil sector worker. No fatalities were reported. Kuwait's Electricity Ministry stated that power generation units were damaged and asked citizens and residents to try to conserve electricity.
