On 23 July 2026, in Rio de Janeiro - South Zone (Rio de Janeiro), unknown perpetrators threw explosives at a vehicle belonging to the Municipal Public Order Secretariat (Seop) that was parked at Serzedelo Correa Square in the Copacabana neighborhood. According to the Rio's mayor, the action was in retaliation for the municipal program 'Zero Tolerance,' which patrols the beaches in the region to combat illegal commerce, the unauthorized occupation of public spaces, and cases of extortion. Several demonstrations have also been held against the program (coded separately). There were no casualties.
