On 18 July 2026, time of the day unclear, IRGC forces fired an unspecified number of projectiles (coded as drone by default) that directly impacted the Batelco RJR Data Center - Askar (Southern) and its electrical substation supplying power to the facility, causing material damage. Casualties unknown. The IRGC claimed to have targeted an 'enemy information data center', which it struck again on 21 July, this time naming it an 'Amazon data infrastructure'. Batelco hosts servers are used by AWS.
